What is Sugarbook?

Sugarbook is an online platform for people to form relationships based on mutually agreed benefits. With the tagline ‘where romance meets finance’, the site is designed to connect ‘sugar daddies’ or ‘sugar mommies’ with ‘sugar babies’. Sugar daddies are individuals with a solid financial income, while sugar babies exchange emotional connection for access to a high-end lifestyle in the form of, for example, gifts, travel, financial advice and ‘mentorship’.

Sugar babies can register for free while sugar daddies pay membership fees to find matches. The app allows real-time messaging and live steaming. Sugarbook was founded in Malaysia and is popular in Singapore and the Philippines. It has faced legal issues in certain countries over allegations it promotes prostitution.
