eSafety delivers free webinars to upskill those who support children, young people and their families in the health, welfare and other sectors.
eSafety presentations highlight online safety trends and issues for children and young people. Our training aims to empower participants with strategies to respond to online harms and support children and young people to stay safer online.

eSafety presentations are free and delivered by our expert education and training team.
The presentations are suitable for (but not limited to) case workers, youth workers, social workers, family support practitioners, counsellors, psychologists and other wellbeing professionals, program coordinators and managers, school nurses, health and allied health staff who work with children and young people and their families.
Keeping children safer online
60-90 minutes
This presentation covers:
- an overview of eSafety Commissioner’s functions and the latest online safety research and emerging trends
- the online harms and experiences of children and young people
- how to support children and young people to have safe, enjoyable experiences online and strategies for responding to those experiencing online harms
- eSafety resources to assist when working with children, young people and their families.
This session is for practitioners, frontline workers and other professionals who support children, young people and their families in the health, welfare and other sectors.
Children and tech-based abuse
45-60 minutes
This training aims to:
- raise awareness about children’s experiences of tech-based abuse in domestic and family violence situations as victims in their own right
- provide practical strategies to support children and young people who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, tech-based abuse
- highlight eSafety resources to assist when working with children and young people.
This session is for those working with children and young people, who may be experiencing tech-based abuse. This may include domestic, family and sexual violence service providers and support workers, family support services, out-of-home care workers, counsellors, social workers.
Keeping children and young people in care safer online
60 minutes
This training covers:
- online safety issues such as cyberbullying, online pornography, sending nudes and sexting, time online, gaming and unsafe contact
- eSafety’s powers to have serious cyberbullying, image-based abuse and child sexual abuse material removed
- resources to support the wellbeing of young people when online.
This session is for practitioners who work with young people in out-of-home care. This includes youth workers, social workers, counsellors and psychologists.
Tailored learning for specific topics
We can also provide tailored learning content to suit the needs of your organisation, group, or association.
This content can include a range of online safety topics or can be specialised to the needs of specific people or environments, including for example:
- responding and reporting incidents involving children and young people in online environments
- safeguarding in online environments
- supporting online gaming
- algorithms and recommender systems
- sexual extortion
- youth radicalisation and violent extremism
- online harmful sexual behaviours
- respectful relationships online – it’s not just about sex.
