What is Gettr?

Gettr is a social media and microblogging service available globally through a website and dedicated apps. Gettr lets you publish messages of up to 777 characters and up to six photos per post. You can also communicate with other Gettr users through end-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video calls.

Gettr is promoted as a social media alternative to ‘escape cancel culture’ and its corporate communications state that it allows for freedom of speech. The app has multiple features, such as a breaking news section and Gtok, an image and video sharing feature. You can also access live streaming content. Gettr is one of several social media services which has been associated with extreme political content and views.
