Protecting an iPhone with Face ID

Users with an iPhone 10 can choose to use Face ID authentication to protect their device in addition to their passcode. This is thought to be one of the most secure ways to protect a device. The Face ID technology scans their face, and will only open the device for a user whose features match the scan. To set up Face ID the user must enroll their face. This can be done during the initial set up phase, or at a later time, by going to settings, Face ID and passcode, and following the instructions. Once Face ID is installed, the user just looks at the phone to open it. To update the Face ID, the user must first unlock the phone using the passcode before being allowed to register a new or altered Face ID. Face ID can be disabled at any time. Select settings, select Face ID and passcode, tap reset Face ID. This will delete Face ID data from the device. Remember, the harder it is to access a device, the safer the information will be. |
