Instagram allows you to share your experiences with friends and family in a visually engaging way. But you may not want to reveal your location information or prefer to only share location information with the people you choose. To avoid revealing location information, don't add your location before sharing photos. Instagram automatically removes location data from your photos, so unless you add a location tag, location information won't appear with your posts. If you don't add a location to photos, they won't appear on your photo map. If you're happy to share location information with select people, set your account to Private so that only people you've approved as followers can view your photo map. Even if you've set your account to private, avoid adding location details to photos near your home or other locations that you'd prefer not to share. And if you've posted photos near these locations to your photo map, remove them. |
