How to turn off wi-fi on Apple computers

Wi-Fi let's you connect to wireless networks in your vicinity. When you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi symbol appears at the top of the screen. Connecting to unsecured networks comes with some risks, so it's a good idea to turn off Wi-Fi when it's not needed. To turn off Wi-Fi, click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Choose Turn Wi-Fi Off. The empty indicator at the top of the screen tells you that Wi-Fi is now turned off. |
