Changing passwords on a Windows based machine

Audio

From online shopping and banking, to staying in contact with friends and family faraway, your computer has become central to modern-day life.

It is therefore important that your laptop is thoroughly secured against any prying eyes.

We strongly recommend you set a complex and hard-to-guess password on your computer.

You can set this up on a Windows machine by first opening the Start menu by clicking the icon in the bottom left of the screen.

Click and open the Settings window.

Select Accounts.

Select Sign-in Options.

Add a password.

Make sure this password is both long and hard to guess.

Avoid using things like your pet's name, your home address or even your own name.

Adding a hint here is optional although it is recommended you don't add one so your password can't be guessed.
