What is Life360?

Life360 is a GPS phone locator and tracking app. You can invite friends and family to join your circle so you can see their live locations on a private map. For example, allowing you to see when members of your circle arrive at or leave their home, work or school. Parents can add a child to their circle, if they provide proof of identity and parental consent. Life360 also lets you see the location history of your family and friends. You can also monitor the location of objects such as wallets, keys or backpacks when used in conjunction with Tile devices.

Life360 has other features focused on safety, such as the ability to send help alerts to members of your circle if you find yourself in an unsafe situation, a crash detection feature and emergency dispatch to SOS alerts.

Life360 is a paid service. After a free trial you can opt for monthly or yearly plans.

Because Life360 can be used to track your live location, including small devices that can be easily hidden in clothing, bags or cars, it is open to misuse, including domestic violence and cyberstalking.
