Step-by-step guides to manage technology-facilitated abuse
Frontline workers are encouraged to work through the guides with clients as part of their standard safety planning. The guides provide practical steps to manage technology-facilitated abuse at these stages:
- a client thinking of leaving their abuser
- a client who has just left their abuser (first 72 hours)
- a client who has left their abuser and wants to use technology safely
- a client who has left their abuser and continues to be tracked or harassed.
A technology audit to identify clients’ devices, online accounts and apps
Frontline workers are encouraged to work through the technology audit with clients as part of their standard safety planning. It can help identify where a client might be most vulnerable to digital tracking, harassment and surveillance. It’s intended to be used alongside eSafety’s step-by-step guides.
Posters to promote the Technology-Facilitated Abuse Support Service
eSafety operates a trauma-informed telephone service for frontline workers. We encourage frontline workers to promote our services to colleagues working in domestic, family and sexual violence by printing these A3 posters for staff areas. An ink-light version is available.
Please note: The telephone service is for frontline workers and is not a general enquiry number.
