Making the most of digital photos: older Australians expand tech talents[]
The Fun things to do with your photos course provides handy tips on digital photos such as taking, editing, storing and – just in time for Christmas - making them into gifts.
Rebecca Razavi, Acting Commissioner, eSafety said “many Be Connected learners have told us they are keen to do more with their digital photos.
“The demand shows the growing confidence of older Australians with digital devices as many now look to expand what they can create with that technology, such as photos.
“Among older Australians with moderate digital literacy, 70% use a smartphone daily and 75% can take and send a photo on a smartphone without assistance. It’s a solid base to explore more creative ways to use the technology.”
The aim of the Be Connected program is to help older Australians increase their confidence and skills in the digital environment. The new course is an essential part of this.
With Christmas fast approaching, many older Australians may be looking for new, fun gift ideas – and the course shows them how to craft festive presents with digital photos.
